On Friday, October 29th, our FMs toured the Home Depot Store Support Center in Atlanta, GA. The campus totals 1.7 million square feet of conditioned space. Including a full-service kitchen, state of the art fitness center, and meeting spaces. It truly is a “little city” within its walls. Facility Manager and planners Gip Johnston and Larry Hall shared about the re-stack project to more efficiently utilize the space. The project consisted of strategically organizing departments, moving personnel, and constructing useful space. The campus has been transformed into a modern facility with energy, sustainability, and safety in mind; including Teflon sheet rock and bullet rated glass in the main lobby. We thank our friends at Home Depot for hosting us, and our breakfast sponsor, Shaw Industries. Please enjoy the pictures recapping the tour and sign up for our next one!
