This month’s IFMA FM spotlight focuses on long time IFMA member of 14 years Michael Wilkerson, Regional Facilities Manager, Ricoh USA, Inc. Not a planned career path, Michael was thrown in the roll as a facility manager, and 24 years later is so happy he did. He loves that there is never a boring day in the industry and enjoys all the variety of day-to-day items he is challenged with.
As the Regional Facilities Manager for Ricoh’s South/Southeast territory, Michael’s role does require a fair amount of travel. When he is not traveling to his facilities, he enjoys playing golf, boating, traveling, and cheering on the Florida Gators. Michael an Atlanta native has two grown children and lives in Suwanee with his wife of 27 years.
In 2019 Michael received his Certified Facility Manager, CFM designation through the online and interactive courses, as well as his many years of experience. IFMA has benefited in his career because of endless networking opportunities and the ability to connect with other peers. The wealth of knowledge, experience and expertise from association and the members is extremely tremendous.
