  • Subjects: Feb. MidTown Development- record attendance just over 160. , April- iSpace by Christine Neldon, who later presented this topic at World Work Place, June- Security in the Millennium, July-total building Envelope-LT maintenance and budgeting, Aug- Atlanta Website/International Website

ACCOMPLISHMENTS:

  • Help New Member Orientation
  • Changed the Newsletter format
  • Continued support of the YWCA
  • Organized IFMA Volunteer Day for the Y
  • Initiated talks with local BOMA Chapter to allow us to share in each other’s programs
  • Organized Associates meetings and set goals for the group
  • Website further developed
  • World Workplace Conference in Kansas City- Received National Award for Professional Development and Foundation Award of Excellence, And Christine Neldon received Award of Excellence for her paper and presentation of iSpace
  • We had over 50 members at the World Workplace
  • Toured GE Power systems
  • Toured Total System Services Headquarters in Columbus
  • Moved the Library to the GA Tech campus in the Building construction and Integrated Facility ·Management Graduate Program area.
  • Ken Gwinner attended World Workplace Europe in Innsbruck, Austria.
  • Christine Neldon and Ed Rondeau, former International Prsidents from the Atlanta Chapter were also there. Christine presented a program that she had recently presented to Atlanta Chapter.
  • Ken spent time with out sister chapter form Paris. We are the memtors of the chapter as they build their organization.
  • CFM review classes have been instituted. 16 members attended the exam review class held at Ga Power facility in June.
  • A golf/Tennis Tournament was held to help support our community projects. Held at Emerald Point Resort on Lake Lanier Islands.
  • We collected toys and books for the children of the YWCA at Christmas
