Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport, in partnership with the International Facility Management Association (IFMA), will host the International Sustainable Asset Management Conference in June 2018 to discuss sustainability as it relates to energy conservation, asset management, green facility practices.
This conference will serve as a platform to:
- Exhibit best practices
- Introduce new standards
- Showcase new innovations and technologies
- Offer training and development
- Create networks within the Sustainability and Asset Management communities
Under the umbrella of sustainability, ISAM will focus on the 3 tracks of asset management, energy conservation, and green facility practices in which topics may include:
- Use of renewable energy sources – Solar electric; wind generated electric; geothermal, or solar thermal heating
- Sustainability solutions – cleaning, construction materials
- Water use reduction – Water use synergies
- Waste reduction and diversion – composting, biofuel production
- LEED for Building Design and Construction (LEED BD+C) – Creating healthy efficient environments
- Monitoring asset management and asset life cycle
- Smart building – sensor technology
