DESCRIPTION:In a typical year OSHA issues over $40 million in fines to non-
 compliant organizations. Earlier this year OSHA issued a landmark $1.7 mil
 lion fine against a major furniture manufacturer (non-construction) in Wis
 consin.\n\nThe good news for facility managers and supporting trades\, is 
 that OSHA compliance does not need to be complicated or expensive. Join us
  for this month’s Chapter presentation as we discuss OSHA audits\, compl
 iance “hot-points” and how to develop your compliance game plan.\n\nTh

 CFM\, LEED AP is the Executive Director of the Sustainable Workplace Allia
 nce\, a 501(c)(3) not‐for‐profit organization dedicated to Health &amp
 \; Safety in the workplace. He is known for his common sense solutions for
  complex compliance issues.\n\nHe is an authorized OSHA 500 &amp\; 501 tra
 iner and in 2007\, 2008 and 2010 his organization was awarded the prestigi
 ous Susan Harwood training grant from OSHA. He has been a featured speaker
  at World WorkPlace\, American Management Association\, Rockhurst Universi
 ty\, NeoCon\, SkillTV\, Total Facility Management Forum and the NFM&amp\;T
  conference.\n\nIn 2013 The Sustainable Workplace Alliance was awarded a H
 azardous Materials Transportation training grant from the DOT / PHMSA and 
 David led the initiative to provide no‐cost training to hazmat professio
 nals in 27 cities across the country.\n\nAdditionally\, Mr. Casavant has w
 ritten hundreds of business related articles. His articles can be found in
  a number of trade publications including the Facility Management Journal\
 , Buildings\, Plant Services\, SkillTV and Building Operating Management.\
 n\nMr. Casavant was awarded the 2003 International Facility Managers Assoc
 iation’s "Distinguished Author" award for his latest book entitled Emerg
 ency Preparedness for Facilities – A Guide to Safety Planning &amp\; Bus
