This course will teach facilities managers about storm water drain systems and best practices for preventative maintenance versus full system reconstruction. The course will review CCTV inspections, manual inspections, and typical warning signs.

Lunch will be provided.  This is an FM Event.

 

Learning Objective 1
Describe what a storm water drainage system is, and how it functions.
-How it removes storm water from the site (retention ponds, basins, creeks, detention.)
-Different types of storm water drain failure- material, piping use in system and build outs.

How to justify preventative maintenance
-rehab or repairing of storm water drain to help maintain existing systems
