 n\nWhat:  Please join us on Friday\, February 15 for a tour of Troutman 
 Sanders’ new Headquarters in Bank of America Plaza. The legal world has 
 been going through many transitions over the last decade – with more to 
 follow\; this new workplace was built to be able to support that fast-chan
 ging industry for years to come. To do that\, the planning team used flexi
 bility\, standardization and enhanced amenities as their guiding design pr
 inciples.\n\nLaw firms are not always known for being on the leading edge 
 of workplace design trends\, this build-out was a true workplace transform
 ation. The firm applied innovative approaches from varied industries which
  allowed it to shed 100\,000 square feet of space. Key elements included t
 he introduction of standard single-sized perimeter attorney offices with f
 ull height glass fronts to bring natural light and views into the attorney
  floors\; flexible and multi-functional lounges and collaboration spaces h
 ave been incorporated on every floor\; standardized furniture that include
 s height adjustability\; and the replacement of vending machines with grab
 -and-go markets and Coke freestyle soda.\n\nThe result has been a more dyn
 amic\, energetic and interactive workplace that the firm hopes will be a k
 ey to attracting and retaining top talent – both attorney and staff. Bec
 ause the business of law is changing rapidly\, the team’s hope is that t
 he new office also has enough flexibility built in to accommodate those ch
 anges – even if they don’t quite know what they are going to be yet.\n
