Georgia Tech Liaison Committee
Purpose
The Georgia Tech Liaison committee coordinates ideas and information that chapter members and the Facility & Property Management graduate program at Georgia Tech have to share. Its benefits are to provide IFMA Atlanta's support to the program and communicate information efficiently and effectively to the Georgia Tech program, as well as Atlanta Chapter members in support of the mutual goal of enhancing the overall profession of Facility Management. Recommendations are discussed and presented to approval authorities on either side (Ga. Tech or IFMA Atlanta). New initiatives are implemented with assistance from the Professional Development and Career Services committees or by Georgia Tech.

Payoffs
All members are aware of the Georgia Tech graduate program in Facility & Property Management. Georgia Tech supports member organizations with appropriate research information and provides Library storage of the IFMA Atlanta donated materials. Member organizations support the program with guest speakers in classes, intern or other employment opportunities for students and graduates, and suggestions for improvements to the curriculum. Opportunities for growth and additional development of the Facility Management profession via interchange between industry and academia.
