Education
PURPOSE
- To provide Educational Opportunities to the Chapter membership,
- Increase Competencies, earn Certification to advance Career goals,
- Promote the Certified Facility Manager (CFM) designation, the Facility Manager Professional (FMP) designation, and Sustainable Facility Professional (SFP) designation, and;
- Offer study groups, CFM or SFP Exam Review classes, and Educational Programs aligned to the Nine (9) Core Competencies.
PAYOFF
Grow Knowledge base to become a more Effective FM, Increase Competency areas to Add Value to daily deliverables and projects, and Align Learned Knowledge and increased Competencies to Meet Career Goals.

GOALS for FY 2011/2012
- October 2011 -- Offer 1 day training class focused on technical issues such as Integrated Project Teams for Project Delivery, BIM information carried into O&M, Re/Retro Commissioning, Financial considerations and presentation, the Changing nature of work and workplace requirements, Integrated Pest Management Systems and Custodial Effectiveness.
- February 2012 - Offer 4 day SFP Certification Training
- May 2012 - Offer 1 day training class focused on technical issues not addressed in other courses
